JURNAL PTI (PENDIDIKAN DAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI) FAKULTAS KEGURUAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITA PUTRA INDONESIA "YPTK" PADANG https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti
The Jurnal PTI (Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi) Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Putra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly articles on the use of information technology at all levels of education. This includes using technology to enhance learning, to support teaching and teaching administration. In addition, articles on the teaching of information technology are also welcome. While information technology is the central focus, a sound underpinning of pedagogical principles is requisite.

The journal publishes conceptual, theoretical and empirical papers that make a substantial contribution to determining the role of information technology in education.

All manuscripts are submitted and reviewed electronically. We provide our published authors with both a quality print publication and the widespread readership that comes from publishing all articles online within a few weeks of acceptance. This approach ensures that published works are read and cited by the widest possible audience.
en-US jpti@upiyptk.ac.id (Dr. Agung Ramadhanu, S.Kom., M.Kom) admin@jpti-upiyptk.org (Admin JPTI) Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 OJS 3.3.0.6 http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss 60 Visualizing Global Educational Research Trends in Digital Social-Emotional Learning: A Bibliometric Analysis 2015-2025 https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti/article/view/245
Digital transformation in education is driving the integration of social-emotional aspects into learning, forming the field of Digital Social Emotional Learning (Digital-SEL). This study aims to map global trends in Digital-SEL research from 2015 to 2025 using bibliometric analysis. Data was obtained from Google Scholar and Scopus via Publish or Perish, curated with Mendeley, and visualized using VOSviewer. Results indicate that “social-emotional learning” is the dominant keyword, with strong associations to school contexts and teaching. Five thematic clusters were identified, reflecting a focus on student emotional well-being, digital technology integration, and innovative pedagogy. Terms like digital storytelling and online learning are gaining attention but have not yet demonstrated strong conceptual depth. This study confirms that Digital-SEL is an evolving interdisciplinary field and encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration to strengthen technology-based pedagogical frameworks.
Muhammad Zidni Ilman Nafi'a, Mila Yunita, Muhammad Syifaul Muntafi, Krisna Raditya Pratama Copyright (c) 2025 JURNAL PTI (PENDIDIKAN DAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI) FAKULTAS KEGURUAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITA PUTRA INDONESIA "YPTK" PADANG https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti/article/view/245 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Level Up Your Learning: Gamification as an Effective Strategy to Increase Student Engagement in Algorithm Classes https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti/article/view/251
Student engagement is a crucial factor for learning success, particularly in the Algorithm course, which requires abstract thinking, problem-solving, and persistence. This study aimed to compare student engagement between gamified learning and traditional methods through a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: the experimental class (n = 36) applying gamification and the control class (n = 36) receiving conventional instruction. A student engagement questionnaire covering behavioral, emotional, and cognitive dimensions was employed, supported by classroom observations and Learning Management System logs. The findings revealed that both groups had similar pre-test scores (3.12 and 3.09), but at post-test the experimental class improved significantly to 4.21, while the control class only reached 3.34. Dimension analysis showed the experimental group outperforming the control in behavioral engagement (4.35 vs. 3.41), emotional engagement (4.18 vs. 3.29), and cognitive engagement (4.09 vs. 3.32), with a large effect size (d = 0.85). Student perceptions also highlighted leaderboards (78%) and step-based missions (70%) as the most effective gamification elements, followed by achievement badges (65%). In conclusion, this study demonstrates that well-designed gamification aligned with students’ needs can serve as a more effective pedagogical strategy than traditional methods in enhancing student engagement in the Algorithm course
Muhammad Rinov Cuhanazriansyah, Sri Bahmiati, Dina Meilina Anggraini, Zacky Nur Octavian Copyright (c) 2025 JURNAL PTI (PENDIDIKAN DAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI) FAKULTAS KEGURUAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITA PUTRA INDONESIA "YPTK" PADANG https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti/article/view/251 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Optimizing Tourist Destination Selection in Aceh Besar through MOORA-Based Decision Support System https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti/article/view/252
This study is motivated by the abundant tourism potential in Aceh Besar that has not yet been supported by a recommendation system capable of providing measurable information regarding travel cost, distance, travel time, facilities, and cleanliness, which often makes it difficult for tourist to determine the optimal destination. The objective of this research is to provide the best tourism destination recommendations by applying the Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method within a web-based Decision Support System. The calculation process was carried out through the stages of normalization, weighting, and ranking based on the five predetermined criteria. The results indicate that the three top-ranked tourism destinations recommended are Eky Momong Resort (A6) as the first rank with a score Yi=0.0676, Air Terjun Elnaja (A9) as the second rank with a score Yi=0.0619, and Pucok Krueng (A10) as the third rank with a score of Yi=0.0350. With the development of this web-based system, tourist are able to obtain recommendations that are more objective, efficient, and aligned with relevan criteria.
Nazaruddin Ahmad, Tin Salwa, Nazmi Al Husaini, Nadia Haikal, Athiya Faiqa, Zahara Phonna, Syifaur Rahmani Copyright (c) 2025 JURNAL PTI (PENDIDIKAN DAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI) FAKULTAS KEGURUAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITA PUTRA INDONESIA "YPTK" PADANG https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jpti-upiyptk.org/ojs/index.php/jpti/article/view/252 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000
